Travel by car tips

Car tips

If you have a drivers license, the easiest and most inexpensive way to travel is by buying a car/camper. It’s also the most adventurous. Even if you’re only planning on traveling for 2 to 3 months, this is an option; even if you buy a bad car and aren’t able to sell it afterward.

Renting a camper or car is always more expensive. Check to be sure the sites that rent cars/buses/campers and just do the math to see how much money you’d have to spend on rent. After that go and check how much it costs to buy a car/camper/bus. Especially in big cities, like Sydney, there’s a ton of competition which lowers the prices. For about 1000$, you can buy a car with all of your camping stuff with it.

Whoever has their own transportation (renting or buying) isn’t stuck to a certain route. This gives you more adventurous possibilities because you get to choose where you want to go and how long you want to stay, which is a huge advantage than when traveling by bus or train.

Determine the distance for your trip. Take a look at the distance calculator.

Pay attention: Whenever you choose to drive for your vehicle yourself keep in mind that kangaroo and other wild animals are most active at dusk/night. The chances of having an accident are a lot higher. To prevent this ONLY drive during the day.
